The pose, expression and outstanding detail work of Blackbeard-Sideshow by ~trev-solo is flawless in its construction. Small details such as the faint scar on the left hand side of the sculpture, along with the weathered skin and angry stare make for an incredibly realistic piece of work.

Here's a preview of a Blackbeard the Pirate sculpt I did with Sideshow Collectibles. They've JUST shown some photos in preparation for solicitation. They did a beautiful job with paint and fabrication. Very cool looking, evil bastard![link]
Anyway, I'll post some more photos in the next few days. This one was based on the myth/legend of Blackbeard, which is all vague and sparse. It was challenging! I was shocked Sideshow would trust me to tackle this guy. I'm not normally approached for anything other than a likeness.
This is part of a 1/4 scale statue. Sculpted in various waxes. more pics to come later.
