Hey folks!
I got in a sample of the Grandpa Munster I helped sculpt for Tweeterhead. I thought they did a fantastic job on the production, and wanted to share. 'Tis the season for ghouls, after all! Once the entire family is released, I'll have to put them all together for a family portrait.
Best-
Trev

It is so fulfilling when production work turns out well. It's such a gamble, and a difficult process for the companies. When things turn out well, like Grandpa, it feels great to have been part of. :) Thanks very much!

Awesome sculpt (as per usual) and the paintjob is very neat too! Love the touch of the "playghoul" magazine!

:) Thank you! It's always a relief when something comes back from the factory and looks ok. I've had a lot of stuff that turns out really poorly, and it's always so sad. hehe. I love that Playghoul too....fun detail that Tweeterhead wanted to put in there.

Oh, that would be SO hard for me; I hate the thought of "giving away" parts of a sculpture, I'm very controlling thereand really want to be responsinle ALL THE WAY for it cause I don't trust others to finish something off the way I imagine it.

It can be hard. Usually the thing that bothers me most is if something is painted poorly, I feel that I failed as a sculptor, and it's not always the case. Sometimes I don't know if something was good or bad until I repaint it myself.
Autonomy is pretty hard to let go of once you've been able to do it for any amount of time.

Oh yeah, but it's understandable if you focus on it a lot, which you have to if you want to be good at your job. Companywise I also don't really understand the point of investing in a pretty base and then screw up the paintjob.

Yeah, paintwork is really difficult to get right in a production capacity....It's amazing anything ever turns out well!

Yeah, I can imagine it's hard to get a good balance as for a good positive you only need to have once but the paintjob has to be made every time

Exactly...I'm really surprised anything can be mass produced. I never want to paint anything more than once. :) I forget what colors I used or how I did something....repeating is too hard.

Sadly I cannot remember the name of the place, but at New York Comic Con this past weekend I saw a vendor who had this INCREDIBLE set up of the 4 Ghostbusters, as well as figs for Fight Club, Muhammed Ali, etc... They sculpture work as amazing. Did you work on any of those? The detail looked like your handiwork, after I saw your Bill Murray.

Oh, that's Blitzway. I've seen their amazing work. Very lifelike! They have an incredible sculptor doing that work, but I can't recall her name. Fantastic stuff, and wonderful production quality, too...not easily achieved! :) I'm flattered you would think it was my work. Thanks!
