Watson BBC by TrevorGrove Watson BBC by TrevorGrove
This was one of those fun opportunities where I was already sculpting the characters for myself, and then they were able to be turned into official figures.

Big Chief Studios contacted me about sculpting Baker Street's Finest, and I was just able to utilize my already in-progress headsculpts. Couldn't have worked have worked out better!

And for the record....Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman were some of the quickest approvals I've ever had....incredibly nice of them to make it a painless process.

Look for these official 12" Sherlock figures from Big Chief later in the year.

:) Thank you kindly! Sculpting does require an attention span that even I often lack. It can be so difficult to focus in and finish a piece sometimes. :)

Just starting out, would you say it's better to sculpt the head seperatly from the body? What's the pros- and cons for both methods?

Yes, I do not know when Big Chief will have them available for pre-order, but there will be 12" limited edition figures of Sherlock and Watson. Just keep your eyes on Big Chief Studios website, or follow them on Facebook for updates.

You mean 12 inch high figures, not that Big Chief is only producing 12 figures. Right?
Cos, it's not very cost effective otherwise, I should imagine, to produce them. ;-)
