Tweeterhead Batman Maquette by TrevorGrove Tweeterhead Batman Maquette by TrevorGrove
This was a real delight to work on. Tweeterhead's 1:6 scale Adam West Batman maquette. This debuted in San Diego this week, with an unveiling from Adam West himself. It was a thrill.

The piece can be preordered here: tweeterhead.com/product/batman…

I sculpted only Batman. The awesome Batcomputer base was done by Matt Black.

I want to give special thanks to sculptor Chuck Williams who consulted with us on this piece and was so generous in helping us get the costume right. Chuck is a Batman super fan, and he knows that outfit better than anyone. His help really was invaluable.

Thanks for looking!
Trev

Oh thanks, Tom!! I really appreciate it. Sorry I didn't stop by and see you, I missed a bunch of people at the con. I'm always amazed at how much I miss when I go to comic con.

No worries, man. This was one of the more exhausting SDCC's I've done in years.

You know with the unveiling of Gal Gadot as wonder woman, I have started to wonder about the necessity for statuesque physiques on our super heros. I was not a fan of her being selected since she is so skeletal of frame, but then someone raised the point that the muscles are kind of irrelevant considering her powers are supernatural in nature. Seeing Adam West's Batman here kind of fills out that explanation nicely. Great anatomy work, as always. Idk why but I almost always like the plain grey sculpts over the painted models better. You can really see the detail work in there.

Thanks very much! I'm glad you like it.
Yeah, I think it's all about how the character is written and performed...You can get away with a lot as far as physique if the character is strong and represented well. I hope the new film is good! I hate to say I really didn't like Man of Steel...but this one does look promising!
