The Terminator by TrevorGrove The Terminator by TrevorGrove
Judgement Day is tomorrow, folks. I already threw my Smartphone in the trash, so I'm good....waitaminute, my Macbook just looked at my funny......

Here's a new Arnold from the first Terminator film. Sideshow put up photos of their latest Premium Format statue, seen here: [link]

I was hired to resculpt over the existing sculpture( I most enjoyed getting to do an endo-eye!).

Looking really cool! Your talent for capturing a person's likeness is really amazing; even the differences between different periods of Arnold's life (Your Dutch looks appropriately smoother than this Terminator, for example). Just fantastic!

once again an amazing job, as always I love how you capture the skin detail in your work, for me it's what takes you work that little bit further into realism then most other artists. I'd love to see what a collaboration with [link] would look like. :D

You made a perfect Arnold Amalgama between the first and second movie. I almost timeless. For the first time I saw that.
Congrats!

this is so great..if it not too personal may I ask how many photo references you using to sculpt a believable portrait ?
Also.. I cant find kick-ass sculpture of Dexter where is he? ;]

Not too personal at all. I use TONS of photo reference. Everything I can find. I view it all on my computer, that way I don't have to print out 800 photos. :) I like to go through DVDs and take screen captures as well as scour the internet to find photos of the character and the actor that plays them.

Where did that Dexter sculpt go? hmmmm. I guess the lawman got to it. ;) I'll repost the sculpt later under a new name.

Aw man, this photo-realism sculpture thing is at a whole new level. I have enough trouble drawing from a photograph. You nailed Arnold's likeness!

Oh I'm glad you like him! My art director wanted him to look like he does when he's driving around in the cop car. He looks really menacing in those scenes.

Damn Trev… I REALLY wish they would make these available at near-to-life size. I know you sculpt these at the tiniest possible size and I have no idea how you do it but looking at the hi-res file above, the detail even at that size simply POPS!.

Do you ever do lifesize sculpts?

:D
