Sideshow just put their terrific Rocketeer Premium Format statue up for preorder this past week. It's really great! Take a look here: [link]

Sideshow asked me to sculpt a Cliff Secord (as portrayed by Billy Campbell in the film) portrait for their website exclusive. [link]

This is in 1/4 scale, and sculpted in wax, as per usual. It was a lot of fun to get to work on the character!
enjoy,
Trev

Trevor, I don't believe you have human hands man, I refuse to believe you aren't some kind of organic/digital scanner sent from the future to raise the bar far above all existing sculptors. Brilliant work, even if you are a machine.

Wow I just can't stop browsing through your portraits. Very inspirational.
1. question... do you sculpt your hair over a resin copy or is it on top of the TMS wax original head??

I just sculpt hair over my wax original. Sometimes I use a slightly softer wax, but I've started just using TMS lately. Hair is really tough to get looking smooth and clean, while still being detailed...but it can also be a lot of fun! I tend to do it over the wax head, because I always find things I need to change in the face once hair is added.

thanks for continuing to look through the work! I really appreciate that, man.

Well from this end you sure don't make it look tough to get the hair smooth and clean! Very nice, it must feel real good when you find a technique that works for you.
Would it be ok to send you a note... I'm looking to find a source for TMS up in Canada? All my adresses are getting no responses.

yeah man, send away!

I'm surprised Ralph doesn't ship wax to Canada? I would think he would...but I don't want to get your expectations too high.

It is nice to find techniques that fit with your sensibilities. Everyone is so different, so everyone finds their own comfortable method. :)

It's well-rendered craftsmanship like this that inspired me to get waay from my tablet and break out the Sculpey. :giggle: ... Or at least fire up the 3D graphics software :D

Amazing job. Your celebrity liknesses are spot on!
Keep it up.

If only you could be asked to sculpt the Jennifer Connelly character then the world would be a happier place! Still, this Rocketeer still rocks!
