Legolas Statue by TrevorGrove Legolas Statue by TrevorGrove
This was a fun piece I got to do last year for Sideshow Collectibles. It's for their 1/6 scale LOTR maquette line and it was just previewed this week.

I'll share more photos when it's fully revealed next week. This is one of my favorite lines to get to work on for Sideshow and I hope we do another this year. (They are a LOT of work, though. Lord of the Rings characters have incredibly intricate outfits.)

Sculpted from head to toe in waxes, except the weapons and lowest portion of the base which were provided by Sideshow. The great design was also done by Sideshow.

Thanks for looking!

Your work is really amazing! Did you go to school to learn how to do this, or was it trial and error? They are beautiful:-)

Thank you very much for your kind words!
I did not go to school for learning sculpting. It was mostly trial and error and asking fellow sculptors for advice. Eventually you get enough confidence to trust your own methods. There's no right way to do sculpture, so you just find the way you prefer. :)
Best!
