a new Sideshow Collectibles piece!

This is a Star Wars versus diorama that about killed me! :) I'm still really inexperienced, so a project like this was really more than I could handle... but thank you VERY much, Sideshow, for being patient with me.

This statue is their own interpretation of a battle from the Clone Wars. It isn't based strictly on the cartoon, we opted to give the piece a realistic feel, so that it fits in with the other diorama statues. Obviously, though, this is inspired by the battle between Anakin and Asajj on Yavin

sculpted in various waxes, in 1/9 scale. You can see the finished prototype here! [link]

more shots to come. Sorry for the MASSIVE photos, it's tough to show this piece.

Holy crap, man! This is...amazing is the biggest understatement in the world, but I really don't think there's another word for it!

The detail you put into this is impeccable. I don't even want to think about the hours. I would not have the patience to do anything like this. Well done. You've left me speechless.

hah! I think Sideshow tolerates me. I'm incredibly SLOOOW, and I'm sure they'd much prefer I be able to stick to the schedule a little better. Thank God they understand and give me challenging work like this, though! It drives me crazy, but you really do have to push your limits to grow.

Thanks for your well wishes! I hope I can do another piece this complex this year.

Trev, you just keep working on these "more than I could handle" pieces, and sculpts like this won't be. Your abilities are growing, and that is very good.

ooh man. it's depressing to think of how many hours went into this one. I should get a time clock so I can punch in and out when I'm working on a piece. :) I know I worked on it for several months on and off, due to working on a couple of other Sideshow pieces that needed to be finished prior to this.

I wish I was faster, as I would LOVE to do more pieces like this.

Many thanks for all your kind comments on the work, Lonnie!!
